Edinburgh: Mademoiselle Macaron

Confession: I got too excited and forgot to take a photo of the macaron counter. This is a really sad mistake because the whole shop is so beautiful and the display is a colourful array of deliciousness. Also, I got take out so I couldn’t present them nicely for a photo. Annoyingly, it’s too far away for me to go back for a pic on a whim. Don’t worry though, I’ll definitely be back one day and will update the photos.

These are, hands down, the best macarons I’ve ever had. Ever. The pistachio one is an actual dream with a thick layer of chunky pistachio cream. Macarons are not the cheapest so went for a taster box of 4 to try it out. We chose pistachio, chocolate and passionfruit, Hendricks gin and black forest. Other flavours include Scottish whammy (Iron Bru), rose, earl grey, elderflower and gingerbread.

There is a small cafe area too so you can sit in and enjoy your macarons with a lovely coffee. The best bit is, they do macaron making classes! I definitely want to do this!

On top of that…..they deliver! Winner!
